TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. The light is green but there are no pictures on my web site.

When the e-Cam detects motion a picture is taken. It will store pictures in it's memory until no motion has been detected for 1 min. Then the pictures will be sent. The Green light will not go off until the first picture has been sent to the web site.

  2. How can I make sure it is working in the field when I set it up?

Once the e-BuckCam's green light goes off a picture has been sent and recieved by e-BuckMail.com if the green light is not off in 15 min make sure that the e-Cam is not seeing any motion or pointed directly at the sun. OR Bring your cell phone and call a friend or family member that can log in and tell you if there is a picture. If you cannot reach them on your cell phone you may have a problem with signal strenght at your location.

  3. How should I change power supplies?

Make sure that you always turn off the e-Cam prior to changing power supplies or plugging in the solar pannel, AC adapter, or DC Battery. Unplug any power cable from the e-Cam before doing any changes. Touching the wires together while plugged into the e-Cam can cause a "short" damaging your e-Cam

  4. I hit the 'Take a Picture' button and nothing happend.

There can be a delay between pushing the button and the e-Cam taking the picture. Due to busy network trafic it may take up to 1 hour before your e-Cam recieves it's instructions. If the tower or network is VERY busy times up to 3 hours have been noticed. Many rural areas have poor or intermitent service. Your pictures will get to you but it may take more time than we would like.

  5. I have the solar panel hooked up but it's not able to keep the power up with the amount of pictures it's taking?

The solar panel should keep your charged e-Cam when placed in direct sunlight for 8 hours per day. This will charge enough to maintain 10 - 20 pictures per day. If you would like to take more pictures per day or you don't have good sunlight at your desired location we reccomend that you purchase a deep cycle or marine battery from your retailer. The adapter is available though the web site or your retailer. A good 75Ah battery should give you 1800 pictures. You can also hook your solar panel into the DC harness and use it to charge the battery.
